July 4th, 2016: MOASD is pleased to announce the start of their new Hematologist / Oncologist, Dr. Marie Shieh. Dr. Shieh is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the Virginia Commonwealth School of Medicine
Dr. Shieh is board certified in internal medicine, hematology, and medical oncology. She has been in community practice at Scripps Memorial Hospital for the past 4 years.
"I like to travel and read. I'm always interested in fun new ways to exercise. Currently, I like to do Pilates and Bikram yoga. I never turn down the opportunity to check out a farmer's market or street fair."

July 8th, 2016: Dr. Charles Redfern of Oncology Associates was interviewed on KUSI in May 2016 about the new study of polio virus in treating aggressive brain tumors at Duke University Medical Center.
A bold experiment by Duke University is using the polio virus to fight a particularly deadly form of brain cancer. KUSI News spoke to Dr. Charles Redfern, medical director of Sharp HealthCare's Neuro-Oncology Center, about the novel treatment, which has been "fast-tracked" by the FDA.
