Dr. Julie Barone
OASD welcomes Dr. Julie Barone into our practice. Dr. Barone is board certified in general surgery and has performed a breast surgery fellowship. She is trained in the most recent breast surgery techniques and in sentinel lymph node mapping. Dr. Barone has surgery privileges at both Sharp Memorial Hospital and Scripps Mercy Hospital. She is an avid runner and is the daughter of Dr. Robert Barone.
Oncotype Testing in Breast Cancer
Recent clinical studies have shown that Oncotype Testing (OncotypeDX) can provide extremely useful information about a patient's breast cancer. This information can help make treatment decisions concerning chemotherapy. This test can be ordered after consultation with your physician at OASD.
New Satellite Office Located in Scripps Mercy Area
Oncology Associates has recently opened an office at 4060 4th Avenue #335, adjacent to Scripps Mercy Hospital. Both new patients and follow-up patient visits can be arranged by calling our main number at 858-637-7888. Office hours are on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.
